Burghley Horse Trials, Stamford, Lincs. has announced that it has appointed Elizabeth (Liz) Inman, from Tickencote, nr. Stamford to the newly created role of Deputy Director of the world famous Event, which this year takes place from 2nd-5th September 2004.

The appointment of Liz, who is widely respected throughout the sport and has been involved with the Event for 20 years, will complete the new management line-up following the retirement of Bill Henson. As announced previously, Andrew Tulloch, Clerk of the Course at Aintree, took over the role of Director on Mr. Henson’s retirement.

Of her appointment Liz said “I am looking forward to working alongside Andrew in the running of the Event but also in helping to implement the exciting growth plans we have for the Event, which will keep it at the forefront of Eventing on the international stage.”
