Kenny Romps Through Card At Moorsele

WITH almost practised ease, Ireland's 15 yr-old Darragh Kenny romped through most of the major classes at the major Pony/Junior event at Moorsele in Belgium today (Friday).

The Offaly-born teenager, who has been a rising star in the ranks for the last few years, took third in the opening event with a new pony , < Earls Golden Glory>, then went on to finish fourth in the Junior class with <Tell Which Trump>, was narrowly beaten into second in the big pony class with <View Spot On>, and then triumphed in the day's final Junior class with <My Irish Paddy>.

Darragh narrowly missed being selected for Ireland's European Pony team last year, but on today's performance will certainly draw the attention of the selectors. The event continues until Sunday.
